How Often Should You Return For Each of These Cosmetic Injectables?

Cosmetic injectables are more popular than ever before. It’s no wonder why–the results are stunning, yet natural. Whether you’re looking for a neurotoxin like Botox or Dysport, or dermal fillers, we carry all the top products at our medical spa in Denver. Although results are fast-acting, you should return regularly to achieve your aesthetic goals. Curious about how often you’ll need to make appointments? It depends upon the product! Here, we share more about appointment spacing for each of the popular cosmetic injectables that we offer:

Botox: Every 3-4 Months

Botox is a neurotoxin that was the first FDA-approved product to improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. Results may be noticeable within the first 24 to 48 hours, although many patients report that results take about a week to appear. Its potent formula offers peak results around two weeks after the initial injections, but you’ll need to return for regular touch-ups. You’ll want to schedule follow-up injections every three to six months for best results. On average, Botox lasts three to four months.

Dysport: Varies

Like Botox, Dysport is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscle contractions. As with Botox, the keyword is temporary, so regular appointments will be necessary to maintain results. Dysport tends to be faster-acting than Botox, but it’s known for being less precise. If you’re looking for a product to treat frown lines between the brows quickly, Dysport could be a great fit. Results are noticeable more rapidly than Botox, and many patients report longer-lasting results. Some of our clients only receive injections twice a year! Remember that results vary based on several factors, so your schedule may be unique.

Restylane-L: Every 3-4 Months

Dermal fillers like Restylane-L differ from neurotoxins because this formulation doesn’t affect muscle contractions. Rather than stopping wrinkles from forming, fillers “fill in” the look of fine lines and wrinkles, leading to a smoother complexion. Restylane-L primarily comprises hyaluronic acid, which adds volume and hydration to the skin. Like other cosmetic injectables, the effects will fade after a few months, so you’ll want to return to the spa every three to four months.

Restylane Kysse: Varies

If you’re interested in lip fillers for fuller lips, Restylane Kysse is a fantastic option. It’s formulated with an innovative crosslinked hyaluronic acid gel that allows patients to retain a full range of natural expressions. Because the metabolism breaks down fillers, the longevity of the results varies. Most patients prefer to set appointments every three to six months, while others report that the results last up to one year.

Sculptra: 2-3 Sessions Across Several Months

Sculptra is a long-lasting collagen stimulator that improves skin’s glow, tightness, and jawline contour. It’s designed to show results for up to two years, but you’ll need two to three sessions spaced a few months apart for best results. The most common regimen is three injection appointments over three to four months. After these first few sessions, Sculptra will work deep within the skin to restore its structure and increase collagen production.

Our medical spa in Denver offers cutting-edge treatments to help you achieve your ideal aesthetic. Cosmetic injectables are a great alternative to plastic surgery, and their noninvasive nature means you can enjoy the results with little to no downtime.
